Re: Happy Mothers day to me.. wait, thats not right

Chris, here is the pic I promised you. As I stated, these eggs are on day 50. This egg candled good when it was laid, and is about 50/50 boob and good egg. The whole egg weighed about 65 grams. the good part is slightly smaller than a golf ball. I candled these eggs on day 40, and there is a living snake in that egg. Mind you, it will probably hatch at about 25 grams. I will take pics in about a week after it hatches. Hope that helps. In short boob eggs can do fine. Especially one as minor as yours. Hopefully there is an Albino in your boob.

edited because I forgot to put pic.

lol, me too, how cool would that be.

    Tim,
thank you for taking the time to post that picture.. it helps to see that for sure. Please keep us posted on your boob egg for sure, I am interested to see how small it will be. what are the parents?

I like your substrate as well as I mix mine with perlit as well. I may need to tone my water down a bit. It looks as though you use course vermic? if you are where are you getting it. I can only find fine...

How much dimpling should ther be as ther is none in my first batch which is 14 days old.

Thank you again for your help

    Chris,
I will post pics of the tiny one once it hatches. I get my coarse verm. at a feed store near my house. It comes in a big 4 cu. ft. bag. You're are eggs are doing great if they don't have dimples. Mine usually start to show some signs of dimpling around day 30. Remeber that the eggs that I posted in that pic are at day 50, so plenty of dimpling is apparent.
As for the parents, I have a surprise coming and don't want to spoil it just yet.
