Took it like a champ.
So for a while after feeding my BP one mouse once a week, he seemed to be still be hungry. So i figured, alright...i'll move him to two mice a week ( both at the same time ) Did this for a few weeks, and still always seemed hungry 2 or 3 days later. His head would always come out of his hide whenever i opened his cage every day like it was feeding time.
So finally i talked to one people who works at my petstore, and told him the situation, he asked how big he was, and i told him about 3 feet. He said i should move him to small rats, and probably should have awhile ago.
So instead of buying 2 mice today, i bought a small rat. My boy snagged that like there was no tomorrow.
I had no problem feeding mice, kind of felt bad for the rat, because i use to breed and have them as pets, but understand that's just nature.
I guess i just had to let everybody know that it went well.

glad to hear it, I know my wife and I used to breed mice and rats for pets and food and after having them as pets she always has a harder time seeing them as food :-p

Re: Took it like a champ.
Sounds like it went very well. Just remember to not go too big on the rat size. BP's never really need anything bigger than a small rat, especially if you feed live (smaller is safer when live feeding). Our big 3,000 gram female might take a couple of those but we still stick to the smaller is better rule of thumb with our collection.
