Help Please!
Hello,
I just picked up this ball python because the owner said she was moving, i know the setup isn't perfect at the moment but am working on it as i just picked her up yesterday. My problem is this, she is constantly gazing up and when its not gazing up and its in the hide its either gazing up or forward. When i watch her it looks as tho she is taking deep breaths. I asked the owner if there was any health concern but she said no. After watching my other python for the last few month i'm positive this is not normal. Please any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help Please!
is she looking up while she's cruising the tank or just being still? mine do it all the time while they're cruising. and sometimes they just hang out staring up (or sleeping.. not sure) with their head resting on a branch or vine. i don't really think it's anything to worry about... or, if it is a problem, i've never heard of it! congrats on the new baby! she looks alot like one of mine (my fave!) beautiful!

Re: Help Please!
She doesn't look up when she's moving only when she stops

Re: Help Please!
If she is gazing up and not moving along w/ deep breaths I would get her to a vet. Could be R/I hard to say. I would also keep her away from your other bp you need to quaratine at least 90 days.
If you think her behavior is not normal and not similar to your others go with your gut level feeling and get her to a vet.
