    WORST day EVER!!!!

Sorry but i have to vent...

To make a long story short, I woke up this morning to my 5 year old girl maddy walking in to our room at 7am saying eewww whats so wet on the floor. So my wife and i pop out of bed to find ourself sleeping on an EMPTY king size waterbed.. in the middle of the night the frame most have busted and flooded our room. Now for the really bad part....I just installed new wood floors in the family and living room a few week ago.. and when we went down stairs to get more towels to start soaking up some water we had to walk under a water fall landing on to our new wood floors. sooooo. then i told her screw the towel i'll go in the basement to get the shop vac to start draining the bed.. well guess what i found in the basement...WATER you say???? good guess. my basment walls have sofball size water bubbles under the paint.
Heres the kicker, besides needing a new bed(not a waterbed), new bedroom floors, poss new wood flooring, walls repaired in family room and in my finished basement, and ceiling replaced, we're nervous to go thru our insurance company because in 04 the city i live in was under water, my whole neighborhood was flooded. so we filed a claim then and it was over $15,000. this will be our 3rd big claim if we file. on the other hand we have to because we dont have the money to replace anything let alone our bed. so i guess we'll have to file and hope thet dont drop us..Im so blessed with good neighbors a few came over to help rip out the carpet and padding. and lent us a couple more shop vacs. I felt really bad because my on neighbor had a showing on her house when i and her boy friend were throwing the carpet, padding, and the waterbed matterss out the bedroom window, so my front yard looked like hell.
Im sorry this is soooo long but i really need to vent.. i was so pissed off i was beating my bed with a baseball bat, and then with wife gave me some meds to clam me down..lol

gosh this is the worst day ever!!!for me at least..

I am so sorry, it will get better though. I know how the floods go. My dads house that he had just finished the basement in got flooded really bad from the lake and it was a lot of work. I hope all goes well with your insurance company. We all know how that can go.

Wow, what a mess! What a nasty situation to wake up to, vent all ya want.

Incidences like this are exactly why we got rid of our waterbed. I do miss it, though, that thing was neat!

That sucks Joe!! I feel for ya, last year a few houses in our neighborhood flooded, and we were lucky enough to escape with minimal damage. I did help in the clean-up though, and it wasn't fun. I hope the insurance claim goes through alright, and that it won't effect your rates that much. At least no one was in your family was injured. Feel free to rant more and go ape on the remains of the bed if that will help ya feel better .

ya i am very happy no one or pet was injured. my wife took the bat way from me which was probably a good thing. this just came at the worst time possible with being so tight with our budget and all

i can't imagine sleeping through all of that - sorry for laughing... it's more of a giggle actually. sounds like an elmer fudd and bugs bunny skit

well joe, you buy insurance to insure your home and belongings... so be sure to use it! it's what you and everyone else pays for after all. we've been paying for years and never made a claim so there's lots of money in the pot for you to use

and... i'm so glad that this is the worse day of your life... i don't mean that in a mean way... what i mean is... no one was injured, no one died... you still have your family intact. THAT is such a goooooooooood thing. so if the worse day of your life involved loosing some "stuff" but not some "people" then i'm extremely happy for you
