I am in the same boat and I have already traveled with mine once over christmas. I have a snake bag, really just a pillow case, that I put him in the inside a small bucket that I came across that I put some holes in for ventilation. Filled the bottom with newspaper then but the snake in the bag and put him in, then a pit more crumpled paper and taped a hand warmer on top, since it was winter. I also used one of my small digital thermometers to make sure the temps in there never dipped below about 80, snake did fine and ate the next day. I plan on doing the same in about a week.
It really shouldnt be a problem, just think about all the snakes that are shipped everyday without any problems.![]()
