I transport using styrofoam fish tub thingies with the lid. The proper name escapes me. Crumple up some newspapers and put the snakes in escape proof bags with newspaper inside. Because the weather is so crappy here I usually have a smaller heat pack (6 hour) taped inside to where the snake cannot reach. I know how you feel, I had to make the 4 hour drive home with Chimera and Kozma numerous times Hope this helps!
