I think that's backwards. They are worth what the seller is willing to take for them. If the seller wants $5000 and doesn't want to let them go for any less than that...then that is what they are worth. Because it's worth it to the seller to keep them if he/she can't get $5000. If a seller is desperate to get rid of snakes, that makes them worth a lot less....but whatever that worth is, is determined only by the willingness of the seller to part with them.
