p.s. my girlfriend won't wash them.........THE NERVE OF HER!...........gives me the ol' wheres my ring crap!

Ok couldn't help it I am chuckling.

Seperate them by color. Although I have to to leave shauns work close out and wash them all together, he is a framer and he gets really dirty at work. But anyay, wash your dark colors and and bright colors seperately and your whites seperatly. Use warm for the whites, and I always use cold for any colors dark or bright to keep them from fading and the coloring from running. As far as bleaching the colors, use clorox bleach 2 for colors its safe and won't ruin your clothes. Hope this helps.

I don't understand where the dark black spots could be coming from after you wash? Is there something in your dryer causing that?

About the black spots--do you work with anything like tar? Do you forget things like pens in the pockets of things? If there isn't anything on the inside of your washer/drier causing the spots--they have to be caused by something that's coming in on your clothes.

I always start the water running in the washer, add liquid detergent, then add the clothes. If I don't do that, the detergent can leave oily looking spots on the clothes, although they aren't black spots. Could that be what you are seeing?
