Coconut fiber is used by many hobbyists without any problems. If the tarantula died post molt, it was most likely due to prior dehydration or other molt problems...coconut fiber will *not* be able to "suck" the moisture out of a tarantula.Originally Posted by Mina
So anyway, as to the question, yes you can by all means use coconut fiber, just don't keep it moist and make sure there is enough of it for the spider to burrow in.
B. albo is *not* a moisture loving species.
