You're pretty lucky, I think. MY mother only let me have a chinchilla and a fishtank when ai lived at home....she kept saying I could have 100 animals if I wanted, as soon as I move out. Just think, I know you know you can afford the new pet, but think of the money you can put towards a new place where you call the shots. Trust me, the waiting is worth it in the long run.
