    can you use aspen for bedding i cant remember so please tell me

    If you're using a UTH (Under Tank Heater) I would just do a thin layer, so the UTH doesn't have to get too hot in order to heat the top layer of substrate. If you're using an overhead heat source, it can be whatever you like, I guess.

    If you feed live inside the tank than aspen might be a bad idea, i did when i first got my BP and sometimes he would scoop up a couple pieces, when one got stuck on his mouth i decided it was time to change. Or, just feed in another tub.

    As another opinion...I have a bunch snakes on Aspen and feed them in their tubs for the past 5 years without any issues.
