Mouse chefs?
Ok... We were cooking up some spaghetti last night and i thought i'd treat the mousies to some uncooked noodles to chew on a bit. Well, they chewed on them for a little bit and i left them alone. This morning when i went to go check on them they were pulling the noodles out of the water (i have a little drip cup under their leaky water bottle) and eatin their own spaghetti (without the sauce) lol. I'm no expert, but i wasn't aware that mice knew how to make their noodles so they're nice and tender, was almost tempted to dig out some left over tomato sauce. lol

Re: Mouse chefs?
Maybe they snuck out in the middle of the night to see Ratatouille? That's too cute!

I'm sitting here giggling and pondering whether your mice where in fact muttering under their mousie breathes about you....
"it would have killed him to give us a little marinara sauce, a dash of parmigiano reggiano but nooooooooooooooo! gotta dunk it in the dang drip bowl!"

Re: Mouse chefs?
Probably the funniest thing about it was one of my gals was spread eagle over her 3 day old litter while suckin down a noodle. If you could compare their facial expressions to ours, I would say she looked almost identical to my mom back when she had my little brother oh so many years ago and how she used to have those wild cravings.
...as we speak my male, fabio, is holding his tail in his hands just staring at it. I can't help but imagine the thoughts in his mind, "Come on, just a little more concentration and you'll turn into spaghetti. Come on now... PLEASE SPAGHETTI PLEASE!!!"

Re: Mouse chefs?
Hmmm Ben that sorta reminds me of my husband, standing staring blankly into a fridge full of food muttering about there being "nothing to eat in this house" LOL
I've seen it a couple of times where a female rat with a young litter will suddenly chase and grab her own tail and spin around a few times. Having been a mother with a 6 year old, a toddler and a newborn....I understand that feeling of "omg I can't get anything done, I'm running in circles, this is all just too much!!!"
Rats are very entertaining!

Hahaha, that is awsome. Perhaps mice are smarter than we think.

Maybe you should offer them some cooked spaghetti? They would probably LOVE it!

Thats when you tell him that until he goes and gets the groceries, all he can eat is cereal. It'll work, that's what my gf tells me to do... lol

I too know the feeling. Both my parents work full-time and I'm 12 years older than my youngest brother. Needless to say, circles felt like an understatement. More like a perfect twelve point stars.

Next time we cook, according to my girlfriend, she's bringing out some little doll plates and we're serving micro-portions while they're wearing funny hats. Should be entertaining.

Re: Mouse chefs?
We want pictures!
Well I suppose as long as they aren't throwing at each other squeeking...."look it sticks to Rupert....it's AL DENTE!" everything's okay in the rodent world. LOL
