Snakes may not do higher math but they really do seem to understand routines especially feeding night ones. Usually on the day of feeding around here I'll go into the snake room earlier in the day and find them in their preferred lurking positions. Some are peeking out of their hides, some are coiled on top of their hides, some (especially the big mature ones) are just out there - obviously ready to take care of business LOL. That's one of the reasons we don't handle on feeding day, they are all primed and ready to go.
