Hehehe...DFW is definitely great for all those reasons! (They have baseball too, even.) The only pro-sports guy I ever ran into though was Don Meridith and he was long-since retired from football at the time. Was a regular customer for a short time at a 7-11 I managed back in the day. My sister worked there too and he used to try and give her dating advice. (I had a steady boyfriend so I didn't need any I guess.) Dandy-Don....really nice guy!
I've lived quite a few places and could make a list like this for all of them. Part of what keeps me sane in moving so much is finding the great things about any location and focusing on them.
San Antonio is one of my favorites, though. The Spurs are probably my all-time ever favorite sports team of any sports...ever! LOL Gently rolling hills and gorgeous wild flowers in the spring. GREAT Hispanic culture and activities as well as a really fun "Old West" feel. The Alamo is fascinating. The zoo is very nice. The RiverWalk is beautiful and oh-so pleasant on a warm summer night. An easy drive down south for a day at the beach!! Close enough to DFW to visit relatives as often as desired, but not so close that we have to visit all the time.And....SEA WORLD!!!
