    I'm not sure where you can get them over there. I know a member here actually ended up mailing of bunch of them over to one of our UK members. I did a bit of a google search and came up with the fact that Acu-Rite is a brand name held by a company called Chaney Instruments out of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Here's a link to their contact us page. If all else fails, heck I'd email them directly and ask if their product is distributed in the UK or if you can order direct from them. Never hurts to go direct to the source.

    http://www.chaneyinstruments.com/pgs/inout.htm (you want the one pictured here on the far right, the indoor/outdoor digital thermometer - retails in the States for about $12.00 in american currency)

    Hope this helps.

    Hey Dan,

    I bought mine off of ebay - I just searched for "in/out min/max thermometer " till I found one that did everything I wanted on one screen at one time. The one I ended up with has both temps, humidity and a clock constantly on display, Cost me £12 I think. Here's a pic of it in the tub I was testing the flexwatt with.

    Hey Derek

    Where did you get your flexwatt from ? Correct me if Im wrong , assuming you mean the one that you can tailor fit ( as it were ) to a racking system .

    TIA

    Re: thermoniter shops in uk??

    Eh up,

    I found out it was made by a company called "calorique" so I emailed them and asked if they did a 220-240 volt version and they sold me a ready made up 2' x 11" peice with a plug on it and everything.

    They do sell it uncut as one of the Irish guys on here bought a hundred foot of it I think plus the connectors and crimping tool. They don't do all of the sizes in 240v but the only missing one I could see that mattered was the 3" - and they definately do a 4" 240v.

    Another guy on the forum got the American voltage stuff sent over for use in his rack (from repltilebasics iirc) so it might also be worth asking him how that's working out.

    I should be finally ordering the amount I want for my rack soon and was planning on sticking with the premade as it suits me more.

    It only cost me about £8 for the mat and the same for American air mail - takes just over a week if I remember right.

    The contact info I used should still be on the forum but if you cant find it I'll try and dig it out and post it again. The mat looked like this by the way;

    The stuff can easily hold 105F in a room with an ambient of 72F - nothing we have available over here even comes close to this stuff.

    They even telephoned my mobile to get the credit card details - must have cost them all their profits in call charges.:eek:

    I might have posted the whole european price list now I come to think of it.

    cheers Derek , yar a star ! I would prefer to use the Flexwatt myself. Seems waaaaaaaay better than what we get . The 2'x11" , funnily enuff is exactly the size I would be looking for in my racks as well . You think we could maybe partner up on this ?
