    tail kinking

Is tail kinking a common thing with snakes ready to lay? My girl shed quite a few weeks ago but I forgot to write down the exact date and today I noticed her tail kind of squinched up and at nearly a 90* angle to the side. I am hoping she will lay soon!

May I ask how you know this? I am not doubting it but I am also taking it with a grain of salt at the moment. You were just asking genetics questions a few weeks ago and it seems unlikely that you know much about the behavior of snakes during the breeding cycle.

i understand you meant nothing by it but its seems like you came off a bit rude to someone trying to help you. I can tell you that genetics is more difficult to understand than just observing behavior and noticing certain commonalities ie. tail kinking when a snakes nearing her lay. im sure i may come off rude also i apologize if i do i havent had the best of days once again i apologize.

No it is okay. I know it came off a bit rude but I don't know of any other way to put that out there. I understand genetics is not easy to understand, but it was what do I get breeding an albino to a normal type question. It was a very basic genetics question. I understand that observing behavior is easier than figuring out genetics but if he is asking those questions, chances are slim that he has observed behavior throughout the various stages of breeding.

Way to try. You make more of an effort than many people here. You are well on your way to being a valuable asset to this sight <3 KIM.

I saw what I thought was ovulation before her last shed but maybe it was just building and a pre-ovulation shed. I knew I remembered seeing the kinking thing on some site but could not remember where it was. Thanks again
