    Probing Question

Has anyone heard of females probing 5 deep and males probing 10+?

Yes, I have a female 5 deep, popped her to confirm, probed both sides. I can't say that I really count males - once it probes deep (drastic difference from the girls) it's pretty evident its a male - again I pop to confirm and probe both sides.

WOHHHHH... I leave probing snakes to the vets or pros..I guess in my years to come working with snakes I dont think I would have the balls to probe a snake.

If you're planning to breed and sell pieds one day - you might want to learn - it's not that hard if you get someone experienced to teach you.

My 14 year old can probe, So can you if you learn not to be scared. And an experienced person shows you how to do it.

    Re: Probing Question

Our herp vet back in Michigan showed me how. The only odd thing is she taught me using sterile 3 1/2 Fr Tom Cat Catheters so I've no clue how to use a standard set of snake probes. I'll have to get a set of those soon so I can probe like normal folks LOL.

    Re: Probing Question

I have a couple females that probe that deep. Confirmed breeder females.

Gotta love how they try and trick you!
