Tub size
I am wanting to make a rack for my FWC since I am thinking about geting 3 more. The largest tub that I* could find were 19 7/8"W x 39"L x 6 1/4"H. Will this be ok for a 6' snake since their girth dont get the big? I have never been good at this so thats why im asking.
If its not big enough, what would be okay?

Re: Tub size
If you are going to use tubs I would go with the bigger ones that PCnB mentioned but honestly for these snakes I would go with more traditional vivs. They are day loving snakes, they love to be out in the light and they are active. Personaly I would make more traditional display vivs with some more height to accomidate the way they like to explore etc too.
If the construction is beyound your ability I would make the investment and buy some nice ones, false waters are beautiful and they are worth the effort/investment. If you have a trio you could also cohabitate the females so that would only require two vivs.
I have no problems putting most snakes in vivs but to me just personally I like to keep garters, FWCs, cribos, etc in something big for their size and that lets a lot of light in.
That is just my opinion though don't let it sway you too much, I am sure they are fine in tubs. But personally if I could afford three of them and tubs or two and nice vivs and had to make that choice I would go for the nice vivs,

Re: Tub size
Let me give you a cool tip for cage building!
One of the hardest parts with a hinged door is putting glass into it. So don't use glass, use plexiglass. You can just get it cut to the size you need by the store.
Then frame your door. Or you can even just make a door out of plywood and cut the opening you want.
Then you can drill holes in the plex and just screw it to the frame on the inside. From the outside it looks like a cutom fit.
That little tip has helped a ton in my cage building, and you end up with a sturdy door that is also nice and light.

Re: Tub size
Thanks, I was planning on that. I would'nt ever concider glass. Im to much of and idiot and I wold brake it. Let me know if these planes sound okay.
I would be using 1/4" melamine.
For the bottom/top: 48" by 24"
Sides: 24" by 12"
Back: 46.5" by 12"
