07 selling season questions
I'm new to BP's, got my first a little over a month ago.
Anyway, I'm wondering around when the selling season for captive bred 07 hatchlings really gets started.
Also, is there a list somewhere of the bigger and more reputable breeders in the scene?
Whats the best source for finding sales of new BPs? I've been watching kingsnake.com classifieds but is thee anywhere else?
I'm in the market specifically for a male pastel jungle, any idea what the going rate will be this next season? Any chance of prices dropping much this year? Being co-dominant I would think they should be multiplying faster than most other morphs.

kingsnake would be your best bet.
Ive already seen pastels for around 150, wont be hard to find a deal on one.

Also remember that you get what you pay for in quality of the animal (ie, grade of pastel) and quality and service with your breeder. If you want a pastel for the sake of having a pastel, $150 pastel may be perfect for you. If you're wanting the best example of a pastel that you can find, you can expect to pay more.

Re: 07 selling season questions
You can get a low price for an animal at a show...there's always risk though...what happens if the snake dies or gets sick soon after? That nameless, faceless vendor is nowhere to be found and you are up the creek...
Buying from a reputable breeder, most of the time, buys not only service but almost a warranty so to speak. Good breeders don't just sell you snakes...they build relationships that last...and no good breeder is going to let you be unhappy over one snake and a relatively small sum of money...

Re: 07 selling season questions
I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest, was more wondering if the general market prices would be coming down and hence the more expensive specimens of pastels being lower priced as well.
As for show versus breeder, yes I know exactly what you mean. I go to the local show regularly and there are good breeders there as well as the fly-by-nights.
That's why I was asking about a list of well known, reputable breeders. Is there such a thing anywhere?
