How much does an albino male go for? and..

if I bred that with a normal female what would be my chances for some albino babies?

Zero chances for albino babies. But they'd all be 100% het for albino...meaning they carry one copy of the albino gene. (But a snake needs two copies of the gene to display the albino trait)

Chances are zero. Albinos are a recessive trait so both parents need to carry the gene. If you breed an Albino male to a normal all the babies will look normal but will be 100% het for Albino(carry the gene).

That also means that if you hold back all of the females you produce from this breeding and breed them back to the father, all of them should produce 50% definate hets and all the rest will be albino. A better idea would be to sell the male after he recovers from breeding, as young proven breeder albinos are worth a lot of money. Then you can buy another hatchling male albino after a year for a lot cheaper than they are going for now, and he will be ready to breed by the time any of your het females are ready.

    Good point.

Me I'd hang on to the proven healthy breeder sell off all the babies and buy a proven breeder female.

    But thats just me

I don't see it as a down-side. It's been my experience that things you have to wait and work for are so much more rewarding than things that are easy to come by!
