how can you tell which snake is a morph?

like are there certain colors or patterns?
a friends of mine has an ALL white snake with black and red eyes and I was wondering what it was. Its a bit aggressive but it looks amazing and I was wondering how much something like that would go for cause he got his as a gift from his professor and it was really sick and he nursed it back to health, he said something like a rat snake but when I google rat snakes i didn't see any all white snakes

Oh yea... there is a WORLD of different colors, patterns, etc... For fun you could browse kingsnake.com

You'll see all kinds of neat stuff and can locate breeders that work with each species!

The snake in that picture is a black-eyed leucistic ball python....of which, there are only a very small handful in the whole world. I seriously doubt any one of them (they sell for thousands of dollars) would end up neglected in the hands of someone who didn't know what it was, and then given over to someone else.

Leucustic rat snakes are relatively common and that is far more likely...even if the eye color doesn't seem typical. The best thing you could do would be to get a picture of the actual snake to show us here. Only then would we be able to say for sure what it was. (If it's a decent picture....preferably a variety of pics of different features of the snake, as well as a full-body pic)
