Shipping Dilemma
I've shipped few animals and only one at a time so I was hoping a few experts could help me out. For those who read my classified ad, sorry to repeat myself. I am moving to California on May 9th and am taking a nearly 5 foot BCI, a 4 foot Ball python, and a Bearded Dragon. The 3 foot Ball Python and the baby BCI stay with my boyfriend. My flight leaves at 1:10 pm and I am planning on shipping these guys before we get to the airport so we'll have time to set their enclosures up.
The question...can I ship my two snakes and Beardie together in one box and ship the other two snakes in another? The more I can ship together the less I have to worry about. For one it is cheaper, and two I don't have to track and worry about multiple packages. I'd feel safer if they went together.
If this is possible, how would I go about doing this? Hopefully by May 9th it won't be snowing anymore (yes it's snowing here, wonder why I'm moving?) and it will be nice in California. I'm wondering if a 30 hour heat pack (possibly 2 depending on size of box?) will suffice so it will stay warm when it gets cold at night and cools off as they reach the warmer climate.
Any help would be graciously accepted seeing as I am trying to do this the best way possible. Southwest won't ship any animals or allow them anywhere or else I'd do it that way. Thank you!

Re: Shipping Dilemma
Hmm... I'm sure you could get a large box and put separate styrofoam inserts to fit you snakes and beardie. I would put the snakes in bags/pillow cases on top of the heat packs... I don't know about the beardie though.

Re: Shipping Dilemma
Would not suggest shipping a bearded dragon with any living being, those cute little buggers carry a plethora of disease. 2 examples would be coccidia and adeno virus. to be safe pack the dragon in a box by himself.

Would it be safe to ship a boa and ball together(threat of IBD?)

Re: Shipping Dilemma
Boa Constrictors and Ball Pythons should never come into contact with each other.

Re: Shipping Dilemma
I figure if my Boa had IBD he would've died by now and probably my whole collection would've been wiped out. But I will ship the Beardie separate, especially because he needs it to be just a bit toastier. I'll consult the breeder who sold him to me for how to properly ship him. As for the others I think I will give them their own compartments separate of each other within the box separated by styrofoam and each with their own heat packs. They won't come in contact with each other that way.
