    pop goes the micey!

    here are my first 2 new mice. i've had the parents for about a month. im a bit confused though because i always thought mice produced like 10 babies at a time...w/e nontheless, they are cute and it is a cool experience! (too bad my snake is going to have a fiesta in his mouth pretty soon )

    If conditions are not right or a variety of other reasons, they will sometimes eat their young. What are you feeding your mice? They will also eat their young if they feel they are not healthy enough to care for more mice.

    You said you have had them for a month...how old is the mother? If real young she might have just got preganant earlier than she should have...hopefully next time around she will give you more.


    Either way Congrats on the new babies...it is fun to watch them grow and change.

    i got her as an adult so shes not "not ready". conditions are fine and im feeding them seeds and such (bought mice food) and occasionally broccoli. my question now is, do i take the male out of the cage?
