I could be wrong...but if your ambient warm temps are reading ~93, would that mean your belly heat is much higher?
Right.... but if you set the controller down on the substrate your getting pretty much the same thing as you would with the probe(like in the picture). Either will work just fine. As long as the controller is on the substrate and the probe is on the substrate. I mean if the probe is on the hot side and the controller is up off the ground on the cool side the your not getting an accurate cool side temp.
