anyone here into beany babies?

hey everyone. i was looking through my garage and attic and found my old beany baby collection. i looked through it and counted. i have well over 400!:eek:
i looked at some blue book sites and some of these guys are expensive. my whole collection is like a bumblebee's worth! anyways some of these guys are cute and fuzzy. just wanted to see if anyone else here coolects/collected these

i have one that some friends gave to me when i moved away to go to college (this was a while back ). that was before i or anyone else really knew that they were going to be such a fad and i didn't really know what a beanie baby was at the time. anyhow, i still have him and he's cute so i plan to keep him. just a little sentimental type thing.

it is totally insane to me though, that some people (like you!) have enough of these things that their collections are worth several grand. :eek:

seriously....haha when i collected them i was like 7 and my moms friend had the first one ever made which now is like 1000 on itself. come to think of it, the ones that are expensive were the ones my best friend gave me for my birthday and sentimental ones..i plan on keeping them

I remember when they were being put into McDonalds Happy Meals, we used to be brought there for lunch and dinner for a happy meal to collect them Not the healthiest thing but I wasnt complaining having nuggets and fries everyday

hehe yup that was my excuse to go their. "mommy we didnt have mcdonalds for so long please can we go get a happy meal im starving (cough beany babies cough) lol.
