    shedding questions. please help!!!

can someone help me out with identifying basic shedding behavior of a ball python. i'm new at this! lol my snake is only 7 months old and the last time he shed was over the christmas break and i went home but the biology teacher looked over him for me. this time i have the opportunity to watch him shed but he scares me a little because he stays in his log and he curls up in these weird positions and looks almost like he's dead but when i pick up the log he moves. his eyes are way more cloudy/blue than they were monday and his skin is dull lookin, which are things that i expect. so does this mean he's gettin closer to sheddin? should i try to feed him tomorrow cause he hasn't eaten in a week? what else should i expect?
