advice please?
so i have had balls for a while now (no pun intended) and i have spent a lot of money on some very nice morphs, cinnys, spiders, pastels, and some hets. my question is i have had them in seperte in there own cages, glass aqaruims wtih 24 hour heat lights. they are all very healty and great feeders. and my first pair have locked up and the babys should be on the way. now getting to the point should i be taking better care of temps and humidity even knowing every things seems to be going well with them and they seem happy. i want to do my best with these animals but sometimes it can be expensive to do everything the way everyone else does. any help will be apreceated thanks.

Re: advice please?
Rack systems work wonders. You could start off building your own...I never was good with woodworking, but i managed to build one...and you can build them better as you do more.
Or you can always buy one that comes pre-wired with belly heat so you can dump the heat lamps. They're worth the money you put into them.

Re: advice please?
yes im going to get one very soon, now i know they work well cause every one uses them, but they lack things that people on this site are always critizing people about not using like dual hides humidity hides etc. i mean most big breeders put the snake in there with a water dish, heat, a hide and newspaper

Re: advice please?
You can put 2 hides and a water dish in. I do it in all of my tubs.
I believe the reason that some breeders only put one hide in is because when they slide the tub in, the back is pretty dark and the snake feels secure, so there's no need for a hide...i could be wrong. I'll let a "big breeder" give their thoughts on that

Re: advice please?
The first one i got was from HerpEnclosures.com and the second one I have is home made...really crappy one..lol...time to rebuild. There are a lot of good quality racks available to you. Give Rich at ReptileBasics.com a look and i'm sure you'll find something you like

Re: advice please?
There's several different people that sell them. I have some from Nature's Spirit, and some from Boaphile(I think?) but Boaphile can take some time to get them to you. If this is where I got them and the guy I'm thinking of.
Neil Golli also makes and sells some nice ones. That's the ones I know of. All good product, and Nature's Spirit and Golli Reptiles both have great service.
Humidity is great in them, and honestly I think the dark ones are almost like a entire hide in themselves. I have both white ones and black ones.
They are sooo easy to clean, take up sooo much less space, and I never regretted going to them, very secure.
Golli's even has little pins that secure the bin in so they can't get pushed out accidently.
Umm... that's all I can think of.

I have a few from Neil (Golli) and I couldn't be happier with them. Plan on buying a few more by late summer.
