    hiding constanly problem or normal?

is it normal to hide constantly while in shed i havent seen my male sinse tuesday of last week and then was only cus he tried to bite me while changing his water.
he wont come out to drink or anything today i had to check in his hide to make sure he was still alive. its just strange cus my female is still very nice and sweet when in shed i could still pick her up if i had to and she doesnt seem phased by it but this male is kinda weird i have only had him about 2 weeks so im am just assuming that hes still just shy because he is new and not acclimated to the new cage and all but its kinda bothersome. any thoughts or advice would help alot.

It's very common for ball pythons to hide out most of the time - even when not in shed. Nothing to worry about.

can you share your set up with us? tank or bin? warm and cool side temps? humidity?

what kinds of hides do you have? how big are they? how many do you have? are they identical?

Re: hiding constanly problem or normal?

i have a 20 gal long hot side is like 89 and the cold sides like 80 i have one actual hide and then a piece of tree bark that is like a half log humidity is around 55 right now normally 50 during hotter part of the day. and one large water bowl in the middle of the tank this set up was fine for my female she had it exactly the same i just bought a 65 gal tank for her and bought her all new hides and everything. so i figured her cage would be fine for him.
