anyone know a good supplier of rats online? im interested in breeding my own colony due to the fact only 1 pet store here sells (so so) quality rats. everyone else sells dead mice. i pay'd 6 bucks for a medium size rat.. who can i order some good strong females and a male from to start my mini colony? thanks.

Not sure about online live, but frozen, there's plenty of sources.

Might as well pay more for local rats because shipping live rats will cost a helluva lot.

pick up a couple of females and a male - feed them really well using becky's rat mix (at the top of this forum section) and when they are ready to breed, they'll be nice and healthy.

im in el paso, texas sorry bout that. no use anyways i cant locate a local herp group, or anyone matter of fact that has a bp. most of the people here own burms and thats the pet store owners and they are sooo retarded. dude who sold me my first told me to buy a heat rock and that they only need 1 hide and 1 temperature of 80F... pretty retarded. he said " who you gonna believe the people online or me" he owns burms and some anacondas and 1 ball. i was thinking to myself damn this guy is retarded. i think ill believe the people here more then him seeing how most of everyone here owns like 1,999,999 snakes each and they breed and know a WHOLE lot more then him. oh well. thanks for info all i thought that it would be best from a store just rather get a "quality" pair of rats to breed, none of this petstore nonsense.
