Ther is never a good reason to house BPs together, unless you are breeding two healthy, prepared adults. And by No means, should a BP Ever be housed with another type of snake.. this is just an open invitation for cross-contamination, as well as the possibility of the larger snake eating the smaller one..
Not too long ago, one of our respected members had a tragedy wherein they were houseing two BPs together for breeding, and the female ate the male. How would you like it if something like that happened? Would you house a baby male bunny in with a female bunny and expect them not to breed too young? Would you house two territorial male fish in the same tank and not expect them to compete for the best territory, with one becoming the underdog..? Why invite tragedy onto your pets..
