That's so cool! I'm glad my mom is pretty willing to try something before she says no for sure. She kinda freaked a bit when she held Lilly for the first time, but when I brought her home my mom kept asking to hold her. I'm pretty luck in that even if I wanted something that she really didn't like (aka spiders of any sort) I could have it, she just won't deal with it ^_^
