Rat / mouse cage...
I've been looking everywhere without any luck. I know at shows I see many people with these kind of rat / mouse cages. They are rather small, perfect for just a momma rat to raise her litter or to hold multiply mice. They have a metal top that you can put food on top and stick a water bottle through. I also believe it's a hinged top, so it can be opened up from either side...
Does anyone know what I'm talking about????
I'm picking up a breeding rat trio today and would like to get a couple of these to house the expected / nursing moms in when it comes time.

If you go to a reptile show, I've seen those there. They are usually used, but are discounted. I saw small ones for mice or something for like $4 a piece a few months ago at the Ohio Reptile Show.

Sure thing. There were a few more suppliers but I can't seem to think of the names. Sometimes there are used ones for sale on kingsnake so I'd keep an eye out if you don't want to pay $40-100 PER CAGE!!

The smallest size, or "shoebox" size, is fine for 1.2 mice but couldn't fit even 1 rat. They're designed for mice. A rat couldn't even squeeze under the food hopper to get to the other side of the cage.
