What the heck is a Blackback?????

Hey all,

I was wondering, What the heck is a blackback ball python. I have seen a multitude of people saying they have a "blackback" but I cant find a real discription of them. Any help?????? Thanks all,

Where the snake has little to no pattern crossing over the top part of his back. Like a strip of black going down in a stripe from head to tail.

Thanks, What I was confused about was the "black" in blackback. I have one of these and it is all black but then I saw one with brown blushing in the back but bieng advertised as "blackback. I think I get it and thanks for the help.

When I imported this ball python as a baby in 1998, he had a solid black stripe running down his back ... almost 10 years later it's turned to a nice faded chocolate color ... Black back, brown back, whatever you want to call it, doesn't matter to me ... I call him Smokin Hot!

Pretty much ... maybe one day I'll breed him ... for now, I think I'll just enjoy being able to handle him and appreciate his beauty whenever I want.
