Talking My first worry story. I feel like an idiot.

I had left and earlier thread on how my new BP would not eat. I had just got her on March 6 and she had just finished a shed that day. I could not get her to eat and was getting worried. Then all of a sudden her eyes turned a cloudy blue. I am new to the reptile world so i began to worry. I even took her to the vet to have her looked over. The vet advised my husbandry looked very good and she could be getting ready to shed. I asked if it was normal for them to shed so close together. She said yes and it was not uncommon but if her eyes didn't clear up in a week to have her come back in.

Well that next day her eyes cleared up and I thought that was a good sign. I woke up this morning and low and behold I had a new addition to my aquarium. A nice snake skin. Now I can't wait to witness my first feeding. So the moral of the story is:

    A normal BP....$60
    Tank and set up.....$130
First visit to the vet for unknown problem...$60
    First shed..... Priceless(lol)

i love how the vet knows darn well that the snake is about to shed. but still says that if it does not clear up in a week to come back. for another 60 dollor visit. hahahah. i would cross that vet off as a good one. there are great vets out there and some that dont know anything about reptiles. i had a vet once that was scared to handle a small red eared slider. hahah. priceless.

glad it all worked out for you.

I think she just said that because of how concerned i was but it is like anything else. Process of elimination.
