we had a series of unfortunate events past week its awful. I'm feeling a need for venting.

my SO wakes up last Saturday with a totally bloodshot eye. Was a little scary looking but we assumed it was pink eye. after 2 days with the antibiotic eye drops, and no change, I took him to the ER, which he didnt want to do.

ER doc said he has MASSIVE and MAJOR scratching over the entire surface of his eye, and we needed to go so a specialist the next day.

so the specialist happened on wednesday last week. I had my snake class to teach at the kids school and I couldnt take him in, so his sister did.

doc said he has "iritis" which aparently is a spasming of the iris causing photophobia and pain. use this medicine, and that one and another one over here....all total almost $200 for his scripts.

I, without pause, dug out my snake money and bought his prescriptions. he doesnt know how I got the money, and I didnt tell him. and I have no intention of telling him. he needs his eye more than I need a new snake. (least thats what I tell myself LOL)

so he has to go back in on tuesday to see how things are. Oh I forgot the mass of red blood cells INSIDE his eyeball causing the very red appearance o the white part of the eye.

so now, even though I wouldnt have even thought of keeping that money put away, I am sadly lamenting that its going to take me forever to save enough again.

looks like my rainbow boa/or/leucistic black rat snake are gonna have to wait .

my SO said "maybe if you beg from the right person, you can get what you want." I laughed and told him I've been begging him for weeks

anywho, his eye is doing very well considering what it went through, and he can go back to work tomorrow, but cant drive as of yet.

so YAY! my honey is feeling better, and *sob* my new baby will have to wait.

hey snake lady, when do you get your white hatchlings? keep me posted wouldja?
