    55 gallon tank to big?

    Hello all,

I recently lost my pet iguana after 14 years. I miss her, but now im left with her old 55 gallon tank. My BP is just over 3 feet now and i feel like he is outgrowing his 20 gallon tank. Will the 55 be to big for him, even if i have 3 or 4 good hides? thanks for any help.

The 55 gallon tank should be fine for an older Ball Python, but it also depends on the personality of your snake. Some of the more timid ones may have a problem adjusting to a larger enclosure.

Also, it will probably be more difficult to maintain the proper temps of such a large tank. Just something to consider...

You might be able to make it work, but a 30 or 40 gallon would be more suitable.
