Stonewashed Pastel
I went to the reptile expo on Long Island today and I saw a stonewashed pastel. It was very striking, just wondering if anyone has heard a little more about this. The people were local and had a few morphs but the way they were talking and trying to lure me into the sale was a little fishy. So anybody hear about this?

Re: Stonewashed Pastel
Just another "line" of pastel. Many of the animals from the "stone washed" line are stunning, but like all lines, there are not so stunning "stone washed" animals as well. There are also people selling snakes as "stone washed" when they are not.
Shop the animal not the "line" and you'll do well ... if the animal "speaks to you" go for it!!! But don't buy something just because someone gave it a fancy name.

Adam hit it right on the nose.
There are many nice looking pastels from all of the lines just as some are not that great.
The name doesn't mean it will be a great looking pastel.
Find the pastel you like and ignore the line it's from, and you'll be happy.

The animal was gorgeous and had amazing eyes that I've never seen on a bp before. He seemed to be a couple of years old but was looking like he had missed his last couple of meals. When I asked them the last time he had ate they said last week but it definitely did not seem so. After they started talking about money and not the beauty of the snakes I sorta got turned off. Any known breeders working with these now adays that have any available? I really did love the snake, probably would have bought it if I had the enclosure set up. Placing my rack order today to be prepared for next time.

Re: Stonewashed Pastel
Not a problem.
Stan helped me out years ago when I was first getting into BP morphs. He works with the smaller guys to help them get started.
