    Question about tank size?

Do you think a 24x24 inch enclosure would be a suitable temporary home for a ball python of about 3 feet. I switching from using glass tanks and I was going to place her in there for maybe a couple of months. Do you think she will be cramped?

It will be difficult to get a decent heat gradiant with that.

    Re: Question about tank size?

I think it should be fine. A 29 Gallon long has about the same surface area as a 24 x 24 tank (580 square inches vs. 576). It might be a little difficult to get the right gradient, but with a little effort it should be possible.

have you thought about a plastic tub setup? a 32 qt tub would make a good temp home for a snake.

    Re: Question about tank size?

Well, I am reevaluating my plans and goals. For now I am just going to buy a plastic cage to house her in. I have decided to go with Reptile Basics Cages. So I have another question. Would the 48x24x12 cage be too big for her?

They have a 36 inch cage but the 48 would make it easier for future expansion. What do you think?
