    Question heat and light questions

Hi,I am getting my very first BP and i am having trouble keeping the temperature right.I bought a glass vivarium and it came with a screen top and two lights.one light is red and one is blue. The blue bulb is very bright. And the red one is very dim.I also have a UTH and that is on a thermostat, set at 85-88 degrees. My house temp is set at 62 degrees at night.should i use both lights or just one.I am confused and i am trying to have the tank set up before i get our BP.It also seems like all the heat is escaping through the screen? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Try covering half the top with saran wrap or a towel and see how that works. This method also helps if your humidity is too low.

As long as one side is at a constant 92-94 degrees and a cooler side of about 80-82, and humidity at about 45 to 55 24 hrs a day, he should be ok.... Also an ambeint temp of 80 ... Here you go check this link out

    This should help you out...

Yes, the lights should go over your UTH. One side heat 92 - 94 and one side cool 80-82 as stated in the earlier reply. The blue bulb is day and red bulb is night. Check your temps. Keep them at the right degrees and the humidty around 50 - 60%.
