So I go to petco to get some Puppy food. I naturally take long way back to the dog food which includes passing by the reptiles.
I see this little crestie without a tail. He is so cute. So I go up to pay for my dog food. I ask the manager if they adopt out geckos without tails because they usually don't sell. The manager knows me, he used to run to his office everytime he saw me. Until the store made a major turn around. Anyway, he says and I quote " Depends on what species, how many we have and how bad the tail is" I say it was a crested gecko.
He says " We usually don't adopt out crested geckos because their tails grow back soooo much faster than leopard geckos" I was like Huh? Really? Well in my experience I have never seen a crested gecko grow its tail back. He says "uh uh okay make me an offer" So I say $10. HE gave me 75% off which was $12. 50. So I took him. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this little guy other than missing his tail. Even has a few dalmation spots.
My husband named him "departed" cause he lost his tail. I had to go with it cause the other name he picked was divorce, because he lost half his stuff.
