Everybody loves "bite pics"

I have a "left overs tank" this is a tank where I keep the live rats that don't get eaten for next week. You see I have found that if I feed PK and they don't eat I have to throw out rats and at 2.50 a rat that can add up. So I keep them till next week save me money in the long run. Well I have a little male albino rat that is really quite friendly and has gotten to where he'll even take the food right out of my hand (cute right) well this morning I tried in and he took one sniff of the food and then chomped and held on to my finger. No the worst thing I have ever felt but one hell of a wake up call at 6:30 in the morning.. LOL So enought chin music here what in looks like LOL don't laugh.

not much to look at I know but every body loves bite pics.

i should have posted pics of my last bite--the one where blood squirted out into the cage when momma rat latched onto my finger and when she finally let go i stood there bleeding all over the floor (and onto my cat's head because he wanted to see what the ruckus was ) while i made sure everyone was contained in the cage properly and slid the drawer back in. i swear she hit bone with that chomp!

but anyhow, sorry for the little nip you got there. now you know why sometimes feeding by hand can be exciting.

Just be happy he isn't a full grown adult. Now their bites HURT and man do you bleed!

Yeah they usually go right for the jugular *snort giggle*. Do make sure you keep an eye on it though and I hope you rinsed it well and applied a bit of neosporin. Rat bites, even little weenie rat bites, can go nasty on you.

Oh yea and hydrogen peroxide the crap out of it. (dirty little buggers)
