Hey all-
I think that's what the substrate is called in The Art of Keeping Snakes..... For those of you who have the book, can you help me?
The author uses a mixture of moss, sand, bark, soil, and clay. And says that it can be purchased commercially rather than making your own with the right ratios. It seems different amounts of substrates are placed together to form BSS. So I was flipping through a new issue of Dr. Foster and Smith (Reptile Issue) and happened to read the summaries in the bedding/substrate section. I came across Jungle Mix -Natural litter blend- containing fine sand, sterilized organic soil, vermiculite, orchid back, and peat and tree moss.
Is this the commercial form of BSS that is mentioned in The Art of Keeping Snakes?
Oh I wasn't sure where to put this post....it's more of a husbandry question, just non BP related....
