i am snake sitting two pythons for a friend and want to make them as comfortable as possible.

first: they are in a 40gal breeder
2 logs and plant
2hides one on each side
heat pads and a white bulb on the hot side
woodchip bedding
and a very large water bowl they seem to love

the larger of the 2 hasnt eaten in over a month i know this is common but could it be related to a lack of humidity? i am going to seran wrap 2/3s of the cage to try to raise it. i was also wondering if the humidity could be affecting their eyes. they look like they never lost their eyecaps from their last shed which i did not witness. is it humidity or something else? the smaller of the 2 seems to have a problem with a belly scale,it is raised up alittle bit however is not sensitive to the touch. is this a problem? any info is very much apreciated.
