Feeding?
Hello,
Just a real quick question. I purchased a Ball Python Tuesday of this week and it ussual feeds on Thursday. It is only 6 months old so it is feeding once a week. I tried to feed it yesterday and it would not have anything to do with the mouse. I know they can get stressed and it will take them a while to get used to their new enviornment, especially when going from a pet store to your house. When should I worry about her not eating?

Re: Feeding?
from what I have been told, try again next week at the usual time. she needs time to settle in before she'll feel secure enough to eat. Leave her alone as much as possible between now and the time she actually decides to eat.
even a couple of weeks without feeding is no cause for concern.

Re: Feeding?
Ok now here is another question. Should I try to feed her day by day or week by week?

Two days isn't really enough time for her to get settled into it's new home. You're right, she's more than likely a little unsettled.
I would leave her alone until at least next Wednesday or Thursday and try feeding her again.
In the meantime make sure that your tank parameters are spot on in regard to temperature and humidity.

First
Offering that soon was probably a little premature, if you just got you BP.
BP should be left alone for a week (no handling except cage maintainance) then they should be offered food.
Now since you have offered yesterday wait at least a week before offring food again.
Right now just make sure the condition are optimum, that your BP has proper husbandry, proper size enclosure, 80-84 on the cool side, 90-94 on the warm side, 50%-60% humidity, 2 tight identical hides etc.
Limit your handling (cage maintaince only) until ou BP eats for you and let us know how it gows.

Ding ding ding we have a winner.. Them them what they have won Johnny..
Well Ed they and a person of their choosing have won a fabulous trip to Wildmorph Pythons nestled in the hart of the Mississippi heat land. Them and their guest will spend a week changing aspen, feeding ball pythons, misting sheds and yes even getting bit..
Enjoy GA
