    Re: Humidity Problems....

W00t! I'm making progress!! I took the water bowl and put it on the cool side, no change, then I started thinking, my sensor for the humidity is right near the opening in the cage lid, of course its gonna be dry there. So I misted the tank and moved the sensor to the middle of the cage, I'm sitting at a nice comfy 44-47% humidity. I also put the UTH on the cage under the hide that is under the heat lamp, soab went on crooked, lol. So I moved the temp sensor for the warm side into the bedding so I can see what the temp of what hes actually laying on is. the gauge was showing 80 degrees (yes that is the warm side), since I have added the UTH the temp shot up to 99 degrees..and looks like it is gonna keep climbing. So now i need to grab a thermostat, this tank is getting to be expensive.....but at least I got the humidity issue worked out. Since I have added the UTH hes been poking his head out of his hide. He is looking directely across the tank to the other hide that is straight across from his location and is identical to what hes in now. So dunno if he is just getting active cause its night and he has belly heat now, or because its getting really hot and hes all like, "wtf?" and is looking to relocate to where its cooler...

EDIT: freakin ground temp is now 100.5 degrees....*sigh* guess i gotta unplug the damn thing..
