Alrighty, need advice take #2
Hey again. So I took all your alls advice and redid Max's tank, finally named him after Maximus Decimus Meridius, as in the lead character in Gladiator, so I went with Max for short. , (anyways, enough with the lamesauce) I took out the thermometers that stick on the walls and replaced them with 2 digital ones, one of which is also a hygrometer as well. I read the one post that talked about sealing off the lid and the placement of the sensor and used that as a guide and did that with mine as well. Also, if you remember my first post I just redid his cage and got him his first hides. Which one he refuses to ever leave. Well today I took his hide out and woke him up and gave him his first mouse from me, a little fuzzie, which looked to be perfect size for him. I didnt even have time to get my dag on video camcorder by the time he attacked the darn thing. So this was much relief to me as he is eating. I got a UTH but havent put it on the tank yet as I am looking for props to get the tank off the top of the shelf. So the UTH isnt in use yet but I got everything else all set-up. The warm side is at 83 degrees and the cool side is 79 degrees....which isnt where they need to be...should I try a hotter bulb on the warm side? also, if you notice in the pic where you see two cords, both cords go to the same guage that has the temp and humidity, so i stuck one on the window and one in the actual bedding, does this type of guage work by taking an avg of the two? Also, when I put the lid on and got the light back on humidity and misted the whole tank, humidity went to 43%. Now its not even reading humidity in the tank, I did leave the stick on hydrometer in the tank and its at like 22%, but after I misted the tank it shot to 40% when the digital gauge was reading 43%...did I not mist enough? I was too worried about making everything too wet. Anyways, heres the pics, looking forward to input on this, really trying to get this right..
Heres the current set-up:

Here are the two cords that go into the gauge shown above, one I put into the bedding the other is stuck to the wall, is this wrong? When I put on the UTH I wanted to make sure it was monitored:

Cool side probe stuck on the tank in towards the top:

And on a side note, while he was eating I took out his water dish and cleaned it and gave him fresh water, right after he ate he jumped right in. I had to take a pic cause he was too cute sitting in it swimming around. After I got the tank set back up and put his hide back in he took maybe 2 min to get back in there and I havent seen him since, lol. (Man I'm being used in this relationship)
