Re: flexwatt help
OOOPPS see if wal-mart carries an adapter

Who wired your flex watt? I have never seen Flex watt on a 3 prong plug?

Re: flexwatt help
Flexwatt doesn't have a dedicated ground line so getting a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter for Wal-Mart will take care of things without issue.

Re: flexwatt help
i got the adaptor and its working fine, so i taped the thermostat probe to the bottom of the plastic tub then taped the flexwatt over the probe but the thing is the flexwatt does not fit flush with the tub, the tub is a little concaved so to get 92-94 i have to have the thermostat set at 99.9. the accurite probe is taped inside the tub then newspaper over it and a little aspen and then the warm hide is placed over it. Does this seem ok??

Re: flexwatt help
I have my flexwatt taped to the tub, and then my probe taped to the bottom of the flexwatt. Like so:

I have to keep my Herpstat at 97 to keep the 91-92 warm side temp, but it's been working like a dream for me.

Not for your Acurite probe, because you aren't truly measuring the temps on top of the surface of the substrate, where your snake will actually lay. That's the temp that you want to be 92-94 - on the surface, not buried beneath the substrate.
I don't tape the probe of my Acurite down. I place it inside the warm side hide, on TOP of all the substrate. I imagine that you'll fine a pretty significant temp difference when you measure the temps on TOP of the substrate.
