Re: New here... just wanted to say hi with a few pics!

thanks all. coming from a collection of all GTPs for a while now, i am excited about having some pets that are a little more "hands on". as for the chunkiness, both of these are eating like champs. i have had them about 2 weeks and they are both at 3 to 4 large mice per week! they had been on a bit of a reduced feeding schedule when i got them and i wanted to get them to a more suitable size for their age. so i may back off of the heavy feeding when they hit 300 to 400 grams.
maybe i should rename the post "does this tote make me look fat?"

nope, not gravid just chubby. born in 06, not sure of the month tho. is that a common thing not to know? when i got her she was slightly over 120 grams, and the fellow i bought her from mentioned that he thought they both could use a bit more meat on them. he bought a whole collection from another breeder, kept some and sold some. but all of his personal animals of about the same age were much larger than these babies. hence me trying to fatten them up a bit.

When you say reduce feeding what were they being fed and how often?

Cause that spider looks way thick and for under 300 grams..

Check their stools the next time they go. I think a lot of people would look at that as an unnecessary amount of food and could be very taxing on their systems. They'll just pass the excess they don't use.

Not trying to knock you, I'm sure you're in a rush to get them up to size to make bees...and bee's rock!
