    Wierdest feeding shot Ever!

This was odd..! I went to feed SoCo a rat (a little bigger than fuzzy size) today. Well, you know how a snake grabs the prey with its mouth and coils around to constrict? He never opened his mouth.. the rat just crawled into a loop of his neck/upper body, and SoCo tightened up and constricted it like that! Weeeeird.. I immediately left him alone after closing his tub; I hope he eats it after this weirdness..
Anyone else notice their Spiders have weird feeding responses? I never noticed this with my others, but he seems to get really shaky/nervous only when aiming for the rat.. maybe a tad wobbly-headed?

Ball pythons are loony...I had a big female kill a rat by pinning it against the wall of her tub one time...she ate it...

    They're weird sometimes.

that's unique! he's smarter than the average snake!

mine, on the other hand, bites, coils under, and then after it's been constricted mine lets go but at that point the mouse is laying on top of my snake's neck. so now the snake is all like: "AAAAAAGH! IT'S GOT ME!!!!!" and retreats to his hide for a minute to regain his composure

    what a maroon!

I had pretty much the same thing last time I fed the boa. The rat just kind of walked into the right (or wrong for it) location, and Lola just tightened up on it. Only thing that concerned me was the chance of it biting her, since it's head wasn't 'captured', but it was all good.

When Loki was younger, he often got a bit overexcited when it came to eating.
Several times he struck at his food and not quite getting it.... That looked pretty funny....the rat trying to scurry away, and Loki curled around the rat's tail.
Another "oddity" of sorts, probably the funniest thing I've ever seen...
Loki once bit (and curled) on himself. The best part was what he relaxed a bit, he actually started working his jaws onto "his prey"
After a minute, he kinda stopped....you could almost see when it hit him....

oh that reminds me of the time mine let go of the dead mouse and in the process of trying to find the head decided to start swallowing his own tail. took him a few seconds to figure that one out

    lol; that is weird!
I fed him a second one (since they are pretty small) and he took that one the normal way. Little weirdos..
