    Weather insanity..

Well, I had to use one of my Emergency days today; the snow is back with a huge venegance against anything living. OMG.. I am looking out the window and can't even see the garage 30 feet away.. this is scary!!
Cleaning horse stalls this morning was horrific.. I had to actually shovel the manure into a muck bucket (about 50-gallon) and manually walk it out behind the pine trees to dump! 3 dumps was enough to satisfactorily clean them out, but I will have to go do it again in a few hours.. (this is a distance of roughly 80 feet one way..) Not to mention we are running out of hay in their barn and cannot get to the haybarn about 200 feet away b/c of the snow.. And all through literally blinding snow that blows into every crevice, including into the ankles of your pants and inside any hat you might have on..
Wow, I am so glad that it is March and the white stuff's life is limited.. but this is insanity.

    Re: Weather insanity..

Tell me about it. The weather is NUTS. Beautiful all weekend and freezing today and snow on my way to work. It's now supposed to be in the low teens and single digits (below zero with the wind chill) until Thursday with snow this week.

Talk about going from nice and pleasent to bitterly cold overnight.

Where's this global "warming" I keep hearing about?

I wouldn't mind a bit of snow, but that sounds terrible. I hope it let's up soon.

Living in the south has it's benefits. It was chilly this weekend and only got up to 50. Today is BEAUTIFUL and supposed to be 60. You guys can laugh at me when I'm melting in the 100+ heat in the summer.

Wow.. the bitter cold 50s?? Whatever did you do?
It is soo windy; this old farmhouse is creaking and the sound of the wind is like OoooOOoo; reminiscent of howling wolves. Yipes..

I wish we would get more snow here. ... but maybe not as much as you got.

The record for snow in Raleigh is like 14 inches, which would be considered a "Blizzard" for us.

    Re: Weather insanity..

Grr.. Mark went to Buffalo, and I cannot get him on his cell phone. It rings 4x and goes to voicemail, but not ringing like he is on the other line. Any idea what that means on a Verizon phone? I am giving it a little while and trying his business partner again; tried there 1x, got their machine, but don't want to alarm them if it is something stupid.
I found his phone clip on the table; maybe he forgot his phone? But I am calling it and don't hear it anywhere in the house. Argh!!!
On the upside, weather in Buffalo is fine.. it is just this crap here that I am worried about..

It is getting windier! I swear this house is going to blow right away with me in it.. But it has stood here for over 100 years; I guess that is some comfort..
